Please read our shipping policy carefully to understand our processing times, delivery estimates, and shipping procedures.
1. Order Processing Time
- Ready-to-Ship Items: All orders containing in-stock items are processed and dispatched within 2 to 4 business days (excluding weekends and public holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email.
- Made-to-Order / Custom Items: Because our products are authentically handcrafted, some intricate items (such as heavily embroidered Sozni or Crewel pieces) may require additional time if they are made-to-order. Processing times for these items can range from 2 to 4 weeks. We will notify you of the expected timeline on the product page or via email after your purchase.
- You will receive another notification when your order has shipped.
2. Domestic Shipping Rates and Estimates (Within India)
- Standard Shipping: We offer standard shipping across India. Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout.
- Free Shipping: We offer FREE standard shipping on all domestic orders over valid running offers.
- Estimated Delivery: Once dispatched, domestic orders typically take 5 to 7 business days to arrive, depending on your location.
3. International Shipping
- We proudly ship Kashmiri handicrafts worldwide. International shipping rates are calculated dynamically at checkout based on the weight and destination of your order.
- Estimated Delivery: International orders typically take 10 to 15 business days to arrive after dispatch.
- Please note: Delivery times for international orders may vary significantly based on your country’s customs processing times.
4. Customs, Duties, and Taxes (For International Orders)
M/s Dastkaar Handicrafts Producer Company is not responsible for any customs and taxes applied to your order. All fees imposed during or after shipping are the responsibility of the customer (tariffs, taxes, duties, etc.). If a package is returned to us due to unpaid customs duties, we will refund the order amount minus the original shipping cost and any return shipping fees incurred.
5. Shipment Confirmation and Order Tracking
Once your order has shipped, you will receive a Shipment Confirmation email containing your tracking number(s). The tracking link will become active within 24 hours of dispatch. You can use this link to track your package’s journey from Srinagar to your doorstep.
6. Logistical & Weather Delays (The “Kashmir Clause”)
Our logistics hub is based in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir. Due to the geographical and climatic conditions of the region—particularly during harsh winters—there may be occasional, unavoidable delays caused by highway closures or flight disruptions. While we partner with reliable national and international couriers (such as [Insert Courier Partners, e.g., BlueDart, Delhivery, DHL]), we kindly ask for your patience and understanding if such natural circumstances cause a slight delay in your delivery.
7. Damages and Lost Packages
We take utmost care in packaging our delicate handicrafts. However, if your order arrives damaged:
- Please contact us immediately at Contact@dastkaarhandicraftsjk.com within 48 hours of delivery.
- Include your order number and clear photographs of the damaged item and the packaging.
- Please save all packaging materials and damaged goods, as we will need them to file a claim with the shipment carrier and process your replacement or refund.
If your tracking information shows that your package was delivered, but you have not received it, please contact the courier company directly using your tracking number.
8. Incorrect Shipping Addresses
We will ship your order to the address provided during checkout. We are not responsible for packages delivered to an incorrect address provided by the customer. If you realize you have made an error in your shipping address, please email us immediately at Contact@dastkaarhandicraftsjk.com. If the order has not yet been dispatched, we will do our best to update it.
